Baker Seeks a Wholesome
Alternative to the HP e3000
Lewis Bakeries, one
of the few remaining independent wholesale bakeries
in the United States, has relied on an HP COBOL
II application that was developed in house to run
its business. But this application became costly
to maintain, and HP announced that it would no
longer support the platform on which it ran, the
HP e3000. As a result, Lewis decided to move its
business system to an HP Itanium 64-bit processor
running HP-UX. The company selected ACUCOBOL-GT
as its open-systems COBOL. Please click here to
read how Acucorp helped Lewis successfully complete
its migration project on time and under budget.
