A New Look for AcuBench®

Acucorp’s extend®8 brings you a modernized and feature-enhanced AcuBench. Along with numerous improvements comes a contemporary toolbar and menu icons.

As part of AcuBench’s new look, you will also see tabbed windows, providing a Microsoft® Visual Studio®-like appearance and feel. Switch between open windows with a single click—what could be easier?

However, AcuBench has more than a great new look—there are plenty of exciting improvements under the hood as well. Drag-and-drop has been extensively improved; it now supports XFD names, so you can customize label names in drag-and-drop operations. Drag-and-drop is supported in character reports, so you can use this feature in character-based report designers. In addition, it has been enhanced to generate code for the wheel mouse in list box and grid controls.

The AcuBench documentation has been entirely revised, incorporating feedback from users and the Acucorp training staff. You’ll find it easier to use and more complete than ever.

AcuBench has built-in support for AcuXUI™, a cross-platform user interface engine that supports the Java Runtime Environment, so you can design portable graphical user interfaces and generate, compile and run your programs from within AcuBench. AcuBench has also been enhanced to integrate more effectively into Acucorp’s distributed processing solution. You have access to remote debugging for AcuConnect® distributed processing, extended remote compile interfaces, and you can interact with remote precompilers through our new utility, Boomerang. Use Boomerang to precompile your files on the server with a single click of the mouse button.
