High performance is also ensured by the creation of an advanced rule-based optimizer that uses the describe key information to determine what keys to push for the WHERE and/or ORDER BY clause.

• System Catalog
  The AcuXDBC system catalog organizes Vision files, the indexed data files included in Acucorp’s ACUCOBOL-GT® Development System, so that users can query and manipulate their data directly as they would in a RDBMS.

• SQL Command-Line Query Tool
  AcuXDBC’s query tool gives businesses the power to use SQL scripts and commands to manage the flow of company data. This tool also allows permissions and views to be set up, providing extra security and even more flexibility in how data access is controlled.

• UNIX and Java Support
  With AcuXDBC Server, another product in the AcuXDBC suite, organizations can enjoy local data access from a Windows PC or remote access from a UNIX, Linux, or Windows server. And, using AcuXDBC Enterprise Edition, these same organizations can retrieve their Vision data from a UNIX client machine or Java application, giving end users even greater flexibility over much-needed information.
