Information Acucorp Gathers and Tracks

Acucorp gathers the following types of information about users: data that users provide through optional, voluntary registration on our site and through optional, voluntary participation in certain contests and sweepstakes; and tracking information derived mainly by tallying page views throughout our site. Such information enables us to better tailor our content to our users' needs.

In order to download software, whether demonstration, evaluation, or active versions, a user must first complete the information form. During registration a user is required to give contact information (such as name and email address). This information is used to contact the user about Acucorp's products, programs, events and services by e-mail, postal mail, or telephone.

To obtain downloads, the user must supply the user's full name, title, company name, address, telephone number, and email address. During the download process, the user has the option of supplying additional survey information regarding the user's current COBOL solution, interest in Acucorp products, and other miscellaneous information.

In order to enable Acucorp to verify and respond to electronic technical support inquiries from users registered for technical support, a user must first complete the support form. This form requires a user to give contact information, hardware and software information, and a description of the technical problem. This information is used to contact the user regarding the technical support issue and to address the support issue. In addition, this information may be provided to Acucorp's distributors if the user is located in a region serviced by a distributor.

In order to obtain information from various portions of this web site, users must first complete a registration form. During registration a user is required to give contact information (such as name and email address). This information is used to contact the user about the services or information on our site for which the user has expressed interest.

Occasionally Acucorp requests information from users via surveys or contests. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary, and the user therefore has a choice whether or not to disclose this information. Information requested may include contact information (such as name and shipping address) and demographic information. The information provided will be used to notify the winners and award prizes and to provide promotional materials regarding Acucorp's products and services. Acucorp sometimes shares the information obtained from these surveys or contests with its distributors and marketing partners.

Acucorp tracks user traffic patterns throughout our web site. However, we do not correlate this information with data about individual users. Acucorp does break down overall usage statistics according to a user's domain name, browser type, and MIME type by reading this information from the browser string (information contained in every user's browser).

Use of the Information

Acucorp uses any information voluntarily given by our users to enhance their experience in our web site, whether to provide interactive or personalized elements on the site or to better prepare future content based on the interests of our users.

As stated above, Acucorp uses information that users voluntarily provide in order to send out marketing materials regarding Acucorp's products and services. In addition, Acucorp may share this information with distributors located in the user's region.

Sharing of Information

Acucorp uses the above-described information to tailor our content to suit users' needs. We do share this information (including personal information) with our distributors (if any) in the applicable territory.

Opt-out Policy

Users who do not wish to receive promotional materials from us or our distributors may opt-out of receiving these communications by emailing us at privacy@acucorp.com and requesting to be removed from a mailing list.
