Our Offering

For more than 15 years, Acucorp has offered legacy extension and modernization tools revolving around an innovative open-systems COBOL known as ACUCOBOL-GT®. Acucorp’s support of BEA does not end with J2EE. We also provide legacy integration with BEA Tuxedo®. Our COBOL has many online transaction processing (OLTP) features that facilitate the use of BEA Tuxedo in high-volume distributed transaction environments.

Acucorp understands the benefits of application and OLTP infrastructure and has become a Select Partner in the BEA Partner Program. Likewise, BEA is a member of Acucorp’s Strategic Alliance program.

    • National Grid Transco plc, the UK’s largest energy provider, has two mission-critical applications: a mainframe application for scheduling and managing work, and a UNIX application for coordinating projects with local street authorities. The UNIX application was supplied by Symology, Ltd. and written in ACUCOBOL-GT.

    National Grid Transco wanted to adopt a Java application running on BEA WebLogic Server to record the progress of street work via mobile devices.

    Because ACUCOBOL-GT supports Java technology and the BEA WebLogic Platform, National Grid Transco was able to integrate the information systems within a very short timeframe. Today, thanks to Acucorp and BEA technologies, users enjoy the benefits of both Web and mobile access to their business-critical systems.
