Landmark Software was formed in 1981 with the objective of developing a complete suite of accounting and business software. Ann White and David Field, the original authors of Landmark, are still in charge of all product development and maintain an active day to day involvement in the company.

Landmark was originally written in Data General's ICOBOL, was ported to Ace Cobol on Unix in 1984, then to RM Cobol and has been operating in the ACUCOBOL-GT environment since 1992. The company has extensive experience in the development of multi-platform portable COBOL applications. In recent years Landmark has been involved in integration of ACUCOBOL-GT applications with a variety of different technologies, including Microsoft MAPI, IBM MQSeries (now Websphere), SMS messaging on mobile phones, WAP and GPRS. Landmark has been successfully implemented in a range of organizations spread over thirty different industries.

Product Description:
MapiLand is a Windows COM component which allows ACUCOBOL-GT programs to easily interface to most commercial e-mail systems. MapiLand features include:

• Easy to use COBOL interface - no technical knowledge of MAPI or C is required
• Sending e-mail from ACUCOBOL-GT programs
• Receiving e-mail messages into ACUCOBOL-GT programs
• Attachment of reports and shortcuts to e-mail messages sent from ACUCOBOL-GT programs
• Display of the native e-mail address book in an ACUCOBOL-GT program to select the mail recipient
• Sending e-mail to multiple recipients or groups from ACUCOBOL-GT programs
• Creation of workflow solutions by integrating ACUCOBOL-GT systems with e-mail packages
• Support of most common e-mail packages including Eudora, Outlook, Exchange, Netscape and Lotus Notes
• Support for Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT 4, Windows 2000 and Windows XP
• MapiLand version 2.0 has been certified for use with the Acucorp Thin Client
