The Marxmeier Software Company was founded in 1984 by Michael Marxmeier. The privately owned company was converted into Marxmeier Software AG in 1999. Originally, the main focus of the company was the development of commercial applications. In a need of better development tools, the company decided to create an easy-to-use software development environment with an integrated data base. Hewlett-Packard adopted this environment for HP-UX platforms and has distributed it as an HP Eloquence product since 1989. The Marxmeier Software company continued to enhance the product and ported it to Linux and Windows platforms. A few month ago, a compatibility module for TurboImage based HP e3000 applications was released. In November 2002, the Eloquence product was fully transferred from Hewlett-Packard to Marxmeier Software AG.

The main focus today is the further development, distribution and support of Eloquence. In addition Marxmeier offers product training and migration consulting to partners and customers. Apart from Eloquence, one of their special skills is the creation of web-based solutions for the intranet, internet and extranet. They offer flexible answers and provide support for your selection and integration of standard solutions.

The Eloquence TurboIMAGE compatibility extension (IMAGE3K) is an optional component that implements a HP e3000 TurboIMAGE compatible interface for the Eloquence database. It allows straightforward migration of HP e3000 applications to the Eloquence database. Code modifications will be minimized, if required at all, due to an almost 100% compatibility. The new Eloquence A.07 release has been verified to integrate well into ACUCOBOL-GT.
