The Eclipse Platform is a vendor-neutral, open development platform supplying frameworks and extensible tools. The purpose of the Eclipse Foundation is to advance the creation, evolution, promotion, and support of the Eclipse Platform and to cultivate both an open source community and an ecosystem of complementary products, capabilities, and services. As an “Add-In Provider” member of the Eclipse Foundation, Acucorp will provide ACUCOBOL-GT Eclipse Plug-In capabilities that allow developers to take advantage of ACUCOBOL-GT using the Eclipse open-source integrated development environment (IDE). The ACUCOBOL-GT Plug-In and perspectives will further the formation of a fully functional COBOL IDE for the Eclipse platform. The ultimate goal of this development effort is to have ACUCOBOL-GT application development available on Windows, Unix, and Linux.
