Release Overview
Version 6.0
Graphical Designers
Improvements to the AcuBench graphical designers make it even easier for you to create screens and data files.
XFD management functions are now available in a new XFD tab in the File Designer. This tab lets you design the table column (XFD) of a particular file description. The File Designer also includes support for print and sort files. (See section 19.2.5, "The XFD Screen.")
The Working Storage Editor can display all property-related and file status variables.
The Tools/Options/Data Designer interface allows you to set level-number intervals that are applied to code generated from the graphical designers. (See section 5.8, "Setting Data Designer Options.") In addition, Cut, Copy, and Paste functionality is enhanced so that data items can be cut, copied, and pasted back and forth between the Code Editor and the graphical designers via right-click pop-up menus. (See section 24.10, "File Designer Pop-up Menus.")
A new View/Drag and Drop command lets you easily add a control to a screen in the Screen Designer and name that control's value/title variable. You simply select the type of control you want and drag a data item out of the Drag and Drop window into the Screen Designer window. (See section 13.4, "The Drag and Drop Window.") In addition, the Screen Designer right-click pop-up menu has a Lock Control command for a selected control or group of controls.
