Hi,

In extend 8 there is an upgrade for "64-bits ports for windows products" but i have a doubt, this means that cobol can run in a 64-bits system like a 32-bits system or cobol gets the properties of a 64-bits system and run "better" than a 32-bits system?

And about the runtime 8, have improvements in performance? in that case, can anyone tell me a percentage?

Thanks Afterwards

It is sufficient to post your question once in the forum. You will get your answer as soon.

A 64bit version of ACUCOBOL-GT is a 64bit version, not 32bit.

Moving an application to 64bit may not be straight forward though, it depends on what you have implemented. If you use Windows API and/or ActiveX and COM, there are things you need to check out first. There is a document on Acu web that discusses this.
